Counseling Groups
Groups are held throughout the year depending upon need. Sometimes the group is offered in-person and sometimes through a virtual format, depending upon interest. Groups are typically 6-8 weeks, and each group meeting is 1.5 hours. Please contact me for more information and to be placed on a waitlist.
College-Aged Grief Group
Are you a college-aged student who has gone through a significant loss and feel somewhat isolated in your grief?
If you have lost a parent, friend, or sibling, it can feel lonely to try to discuss feelings of loss with others who have not experienced a similar loss. It can be so reassuring and comforting to be in a safe space that welcomes and encourages conversation surrounding loss with others who have had related experiences of loss. If you would like a safe and encouraging environment to process those feelings of loss and to learn about the grief process this may be a great opportunity for support for you.
Overdose & Substance Use-Related Loss
Have you lost a loved one after a battle with drugs or alcohol?
Anyone who has lost someone to death by addiction/substance use disorder understands that this is a unique loss. Attending this group may offer a space to process your feelings and receive the support, understanding, and wisdom of those who have experienced a similar loss. It is also a space to learn about the grief process and to discuss and explore feelings of complicated grief.
Caregivers
Are you a caregiver for a family member who is suffering with a long term, chronic, and/or terminal illness such as cancer, Alzheimer's Disease, or Parkinson's Disease?
If so, while it may seem nearly impossible to find time to care for yourself, it is so important that you find a space to receive support. In this group, we will process any feelings of burn-out, isolation, and/or anticipatory grief. You also will learn tools for self-care and work on expanding your support system during this demanding time.
